Keyboardist Dream Theater, Jordan Rudess, has launched a music app. Quoted from Blabbermouth, along with his company, Wizdom Music, he released two apps, ShapeSonix and Maestro, via Intel AppUp.

ShapeSonix is ??an application that allows users to create their own visual and sound and compose soundscapemultimedia. While Maestro is an application that makes the user seem to be an orchestra conductor and arranges classical orchestral compositions. The accompanying musicians are three-dimensional animated characters that can be selected by the user himself.

Rudess went on to explain his application, "I work with program leader Tobias Miller to create ShapeSonix and bring it to Intel AppUp. We want to create something shaped beautiful, very interesting and unique in the same time. ShapeSonix is ??a natural progression from our previous release. "
"Maestro has a group of 3D musicians who can follow your movements. Our goal is to create something fun and interactive by allowing users to interact with their Webcam to lead the orchestra. This is an easy application assembled by Kevin Chartier and has a special repertoire of special arrangements arranged for Maestro by Eren Basbug, "Rudess concluded.

Previously, Rudess created the award-winning MorphWiz app like Best Music Creation App by Billboard magazine in 2010, Best Musical App at Best App Ever Award, and Best 'iPhone / iPad / iTouch' App at Electronic Musician 2011.
