Gorillaz is an Virtual HipHop group, Gorillaz combines the musical talents of Dan Nakamura's "The Automator", Damon Albarn "Blur", Mida Hatori Matto, and Tina Weymouth from "Tom Tom Club" and Chris Frantz by visually capturing Jamie Hewlett "Tank Girl cult".

Gorillaz was created by Damon Albarn (from Blur) and Jamie Hewlett (from Tank Girl fame) and based on their interests, dreams and fears. Reference facts for horror films are everywhere, including examples from George A. Romero's movie and the location of the horror films announced on the mast of a highway in a promotional video for "19-2000". There are also some rather vague references to people and things like the bands of Tom Savini, Looney Tunes and Swell Maps, to name a few. Gorillaz has earned the Guinness World Record for being the Most Successful Virtual Band.

Gorillaz was formed by four members of the animation band: 

• 2D (vocals, keyboards)
• Murdoc Niccals (bass)
• Noodle (guitar)
• Russell Hobbs (drums, percussion).

Gorillaz new 5th album "Humanz" released on April 28, 2017.

Humanz is understood as a reaction to the recent horrific political developments, especially the election of Donald Trump. Albarn said they were trying to answer the question, "What will happen if the world changes, in an unthinkable way, in the head?" But do not expect any open referrals to Trump. Albarn said that he went as far as editing a reference to Trump in order not to give him any more fame.

Gorillaz one month ago released new video music "Sleeping Powder", Is the first Gorillaz track recently launched after the release of their new record "Humanz".
