International Women's Day
Do we know why International Women's Day even exists? To refresh the memory, a bit of history (which varies from source to source).
The first major demonstrations for women's rights were in the US in 1908, organized by the Socialists. In 1910, the first proposal for a woman's day was given to the Socialist International in Copenhagen. On 19th March 1911, for the first time, they celebrated this day in Germany, Austria, Denmark and Switzerland.

The International Women's Day took place on the last Sunday in February, as well as on February 23rd, 1917 in Russia, which marks March 8th on the Gregorian calendar, when women organized mass demonstrations. Four days later, the Emperor abdicated, and the government granted Russian women the right to vote. The year 1975 was the International Year of Women and then the United Nations declared March 8th as International Women's Day!
The demands women made during the 1970s and 1980s in mass gatherings throughout the (mainly Western) world:
- the right to work;
- equal pay for the same work;
- equal opportunities for work and education;
- free education of children and the possibility of childcare;
- free, safe contraception;
- legal and safe abortion

The vast majority of women today are naively quasi-happy because they have got a dead plant as a gift. Men who gave them the plant are happy that they did not forget these gestures. Everyone is happy and life goes smoothly, but the happiest is of course the capital. This same capital, which changed the day into another consumer experience.
