Mainstream Media Isn't About Quality Content
Critical Thinking.
A Decoder Ring is somewhat necessary to sift through the blatant missed directions parroted through mainstream media outlets. The value of mainstream media at this point is in merely using it as a cross reference to see where the level of censorship is at on any particular hot button topic.
However, in the world we live in with so much alternative news channels here - calling anything "mainstream media" as it has been known traditionally and historically is rapidly changing. Television broadcasting companies are quickly becoming outdated forms of FAKE NEWS. For the most part it is only the senior generations of the world who are all but mostly retired from participating in our current reality who tune in for their bed time stories. The irony here is that it's only a percentage of the baby boomer generation who give credence to the FAKE NEWS.
If Anything, it is important to have compassion and sympathy for those who mostly rely upon FAKE NEWS in their day to day reality as a way to pass the time...and feel like they are being informed. Years of brainwashing....propaganda....fear pulsating...can cause havoc on the very best of us. With that being said...it's mostly somewhat common sense at this point that "Government" and "Media" are not really Real..in fact it's been mostly hocus pocus through the control and flow of Information. This narrative has ended and everything is more clearly exposed.
The "New" Mainstream Media is everyday regular people - Reporting, Broadcasting, Sharing, Updating through Decentralized Applications. Note this is a flippening - as much of the "New" Mainstream Media has been grown from the more traditional centralized Social Networks. The Flippening is happening from Centralized Social Networks to Decentralized Social Networks as a point of Accounting and Integrity in Journalism Reporting. It is fairly well known at this point that facebook, youtube...and even reddit Censor Content that doesn't support the companies political/ideological views.
Disinformation Agents, Trolls, Shills
- Companies, governments, military's, agency's - pay people to function as Information Disruption. Meaning: creating confusions, uncertainty, doubt, false belief, fear, plausible deniability, propaganda. This is happening for some very basic reasons:
It's more and more difficult for the truth of reality to be suppressed, controlled and manipulated. Life Awareness is growing.
Political. Body Politics is the result of In Form Connections...as the the specifics of Information...the math of how we define and make sense of things here. The Tell a Vision programming box is being replaced with the internet. Paid Enforcers as the the dis-info people are now infiltrating internet...have been for years...as it's the last ditch effort to try to control and influence popular opinion.
Our thinking is mostly a result of our education and physical integration effectiveness of vocabulary. Disinfo agents of all kinds do most of the thinking for you...in a way where it seems "legit" because the communication is done in a way where it sound "superior" and or just "makes sense" because it has elements of fact.
Final Thoughts
The Majority of people on planet earth want a world here that is most excellent.

The majority of people on planet earth would like to be able to develop their passions, interests and explore their curiosities.
People are waking up to the reality of our present day Fiasco's.
People are taking/making individual response ability plays for the betterment of the world. "Till here no Further" is becoming a common trend and attitude about the problems in our world...and the time is now for Solutions. This is a fascinating process journey. Each individual's journey and process is unique. Creative Collaboration's are at all time high's globally. Never before has it been so possible to have a world Network as your Peer to Peer "friend" and "community" base of Support.
Our Network is Our Networth - and we are Paradigm Shifting into Peer to Peer world wide networks - which means the creative potential to upgrade the overall quality of living for all inhabitants of planet earth is happening. (granted it is a process...and things in physical reality take longer than in our minds :) )
Decentralized Autonomous Organizations - Peer to Peer beyond Boarders and Jurisdiction control and regulation is happening. This means: Superior Quality Companies and Organizations with an emphasis on Efficiency and Effectiveness for mutual benefit. The win/win equation.

Change is a process here. Sometimes more instant than other times. It's a process. We are all in it here together. This is Playground Planet Earth - and it's a Creative Game Here as it's our Expression and Response Ability to Plan it as we live on/in/as a Planetary Body. Peer to Peer Networking. Great topic brother and really good article. It seems all media outlets today aren't concerned whatsoever with the truth anymore, just furthering their personal narrative of their personal opinion of a topic.
Honesty and integrity are truly dead when it comes to the news. In today's "headline" news industry, most people simply read the headlines and not the story, and sure as hell don't do their due dilligence to get to the heart of the matter to make up their own mind. That's why block chain is so important, people can discern for themselves what is real and what is fake in a decentralized arena not governed by money and corruption.

It's the real thing here...it's not going away...in fact we are realizing it is a mechanism to make everything more efficient and effective...allowing for honest accounting.
This type of "knowing" about the greatness that is Blockchain, opens up the mindset to make a lot of great plays in this space...and not get caught up with the fake news drama of the day/week.
It's like: Enjoy the fake news drama for what it is - entertainment...an orchestrated production....but best not to give too much attention to it...
I think money can be a solid point of governance when the system is structured efficiently with regards to it's circulation. I like proof of staking models where a networking community builds value together :)
One word really stuck out to me in your post - "bedtime stories". As children, we grow up being told fantastical stories that we believe to be true. I've never thought of it before but now senior citizens and those who subscribe solely to mainstream media are on the receiving end of the fantastical stories.
It maybe true that a lot of the stories are true but there is an incredible amount of misdirection in today's media. I actually used to go to reddit in order to obtain news that was more dependable than television or newspapers. But like you said, it's not so reliable anymore.
I like the overall positivity in your post. Blockchain technology and decentralization are changing everything.
Story telling is indeed a very powerful way to paint a picture. It's time we started painting the picture :)
