Travel Pro Places of Interest #15: Museum of National History Santiago Chile! Part Two (15 photos)

in #travel6 years ago

Hey there my Steemit Friends! In this Travel Pro Series we focus on specific places of interest for a given location. This may come in the form of parks, museums, beaches, cathedrals, and much more. Always an interesting series and always informative!

Here we are at the National Museum of Chilean History! Located right in the center of town along side the most famous park in the country, Parque De Armas. Again "Travel Pro" gets caught filming where he isn't supposed to, lol. Unlike at the Free Mason Museum I was able to get a few minutes on film to share with you.

This is a three part series and I bring you along with me how I ventured through the museum. They kind of have the exhibits laid out in a chronological order. It begins talking about the indigenous tribes of the regions, then we get into the founders of the country which I'm able to talk about on film.

This museum I found really interesting. They had paintings, portraits, and other historic pieces on display that you may think belonged in a royal palace. The tour ends with the modern day elections and how Chile elected and currently has their first woman president. Now come along and lets have look around this place.

With over 11 years of travel experience I answer travel and international lifestyle questions. Leave a question in the comments and I may make a Steemit post just for you!

Thanks for sharing. While I like to travel I doubt I will ever find myself in Chile. I'm guessing there is a lot of French influence based on the museum?

I thinks its more Spanish, but I'm no expert.

LOL that would make a lot of sense. They are countries pretty close to one another so there are probably similarities. I've never been to Spain but have been to France so my eyes go towards my life experiences. :)

I see, I see. France is a great European Country full of culture. Have a great day.

Continuing our conversation from yesterday(?) @world-travel-pro I would say I definitely miss the captions on the photographs.

I prefer it when you say something about them otherwise they don't really tell much of a story. 😊

Thanks for the feed back. That is what I figured. The real life photos are easiest to ad captions, since it's just me, my camera, and the streets. This post, I'm really not a Chilean Historian...but I could just make up bunch of stuff! lol naaah

There seems to be a lot more culture in Chile than say some of the Central American countries. Nicaragua has lost much of its culture with the last war and now this one. We have advanced to the point of no return BTW. I posted some about it today.

Yeah, the culture I found in Central America was pretty lousy. A bunch of side ways hats, tattoos, and crap carved into the sides of their head. South America had a lot more class, history, and values. Not everyone is that way in Central America....but I think we are on the same page as always Cici, always a pleasure reading your replies.
