Paris part 1

Dear Steemians,

On the 12th of august 2016, we drove off to make a one-week trip to Paris.
We packed our backs and started the 3.5 hour drive South.
This post is the first post in a series of photography/travel posts about Paris.

On the day of our arrival we made a walk from the Arc de triomphe to the Notre-Dame.

We walked over the Place de Concorde into the Tuileries Garden, where we very much enjoyed the cooling shade, it was about 35°C that day.

The part of the Tuileries Garden that is closest to the Louvre offers the most beautiful spot, relax one of the benches under the trees and surrounded by flowers.

In one of the following posts about Paris, I will go into further detail about this overwhelming, yet amazing museum, I got plenty of pictures of inside. More on that later.

Seine

The heart of Paris is the river Seine, alongside its riverbanks, there are many beautiful places to walk, to have lunch, to just sit and enjoy the soothing sound of the river flowing.

The Notre-Dame de Paris

I am sure you know the story of Quasimodo, I do understand why people would write stories about this impressive cathedral.
It feels special to be among and inside, entry is free, that's always nice. What I find most astonishing about the Notre-Dame is its mind-blowing stained glass inside the church, beautiful purple and blue, go check it out! :-)
