3D Modeling - Maybach DS8 Zeppelin

This is a Maybach DS8 Zeppelin. It was free download in one of the Modeling Forums I belong to. I didn't feel like getting into a complex project today so I downloaded this and started to apply some textures. I chose Cornflower Blue.

This model was a low poly creation, most free ones are.
And often the meshes are combined, so texturing can be a bit of Problem. There is a work around on that, if you save the Mesh as a .obj file and import it into Wings3D you can 'Uncombine" the meshes. But only if they were initially made as separate objects.

Here you can see the Tires, wheels and hubcaps were all one mesh. So I could only add one color to everything. So I just shit canned them and created some custom wheels.

Here it is with all the new wheels in place. And I added some Glass to the Headlights. I thought this Green looked pretty cool, So I made the windows the same glass texture. The interior was all one piece so I just hit it with a Ivory white.

I love the Gothic/Steampunk look to the Deluxe Cars of the 1930s-1940s. Here you can see I added a few small embellishments to make this one mine, and a Backdrop.

Ok Im satisfied with what I have here. Now the Render. In this screengrab you will see three Red Globes, those are the 360 Spotlights I added. Lighting is Vital because it creates shadows, Light and Shadow equals 3D.

And about an hour of Render time, Heres the final Image.
