Look who we have here
This is probably not the kind of company that you would want to keep, or wake up to.
My little visitor over here is in fact larger than he appears. I just walked outside to get some fresh air and what did I see? An overs sized spider sitting on it's web, then came my camera to capture every moment of it. I don't know where it is right now, but I sure hope that it isn't out to reclaim his picture. I never asked for permission to take it :D

That’s a big one! There are similar looking large spiders here called garden spiders. They are harmless and good for catching insects. I hope this one is harmless.
