Mi presentación en Steemit y mi interés por hablar de psicología / My steemit presentation and my interest in talking about psychology

in #spanish2 years ago
¡Hola!

Hello! I present myself: My name is José, I live in Mexico, I am in my 20s and I am studying Biology of Human Behavior. My main hobbies are reading (from narrative to academic texts), writing fiction and video games. I’ll leave it there for now.

As a person who is forming in science I like to spread what I learned these years , especially when it comes to something as particular as human nature. I’m sure many people have heard of this "debate" about whether humans are good or bad by nature. Actually, people who are researching our behavior are asking themselves much more interesting questions than this (in the future I will explain what is the big problem with that debate). For example: what does a person look for in their partner? Does therapy really work? Are social media a problem for our mental health ? How do we fight depression? All these questions I plan to address in my profile over time, I hope you can join me!

Why not just get started?

  1. TENDENCIES or the problem with simple answers in behavior.

If one thing we learn from studying life is that there are no simple answers, everything is a mixture of factors that nobody really understands exactly where something begins and ends in something else, although most of the time we act as if it didn’t. To illustrate this, let’s ask a simple question: is depression a "chemical imbalance" or does something about our environment generate it?

Neither one nor the other. As Dr. Robert Sapolsky describes in a scenario, let’s say that in our genes there is something that makes us more vulnerable to develop a depressive episode (this real, but I will detail it on another occasion), yet this is not enough. For one to develop this condition (another issue is the use of concepts, especially in human behaviour), it is necessary for the individual to suffer a considerable traumatic events (the death of a loved one, loss of employment or detection of a serious illness, etc.). Then there will be some individuals who by their genetics are more sensitive to these events, but that’s not all! Of the few things that can assure you of the human being is that we are a social animal, so it is also a very important factor the support of loved ones, so a lonely person is more likely to suffer this condition even if his genetics played against him. In short, very few behavioral questions can be answered only by "yes" or "no", we should consider a lot of things and in fact much of the scientific work is to explore these factors and add more of them.

One last thing: I am not a psychologist, in fact my branch of study is closer to anthropology, but it facilitates presentations.

A note on other bots warnings:

It's come to our attention that some of the people on this network (keys-defender run guityparties, and bots run by pfunk) have been attacking our advertorial notices by calling it a scam/fraud.

We have contacted the owners of those systems, we've shared our complete source code and processes, and explained that we've been running for longer that they have, and have been trusted by large subsets of users troughout, expressed all of our processes, which are simple, free, opensource and legitimate, and beneficial the blockchain and its users.

After doing lots of research and speaking to many other developers on this network, it's become clear that they use these false policing services to demote other projects in order to promote their own paid upvote scams and vote-abuse systems where they demote anything thats not designed to upvote their friends.
We respect their right to communicate what they want to, even if its false, however our project is highly respected, as well as open source, its already been audited by many users and its easy to confirm that there is no risk in using it.
Both our enrollment system and upvote bot is open source and whitelisted by MalwareBytes, accepted by Github, and we've serviced thousands of users since 2017, our bot is free and will only ever vote on your behalf if your idle reaches 100%.
We respect our users freedom, enrollement as well as unenrollment from our system is done directly on the blockchain and you do not need our services to join/leave.
