Sweepstakes - How to win without winning ?

Today is the first day of the rest of my life. So the clique goes. At least it did not start off where I was being held upside down with a slap on the arse. I was born a couple weeks early so the labor was a surprise and unexpected. As a result I had to drive 🚗 my mother to the hospital🏥 for my birth.👶

I went to bed late this morning and could not sleep. As a result I am dragging arse. When I can't sleep I get up and spend some more time on Steemit. This morning it was 3:30 am when I gave up on falling to sleep. It's a good time because I get to see the post as they are posted from my friends who live on the wrong side of the planet instead of seeing them hours later.

A couple weeks ago Intel offered a sweepstakes for a 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8086k Limited Edition processor and I entered for a chance to win. This processor is Intel’s first 5Ghz consumer desktop processor, featuring 6 cores and 12 threads, and is unlocked for overclocking. You talk about top of the line. The drawing was around 6am. I did not win😞

My Son called me this morning and informed me that he won the sweepstakes. 👍What a shock and some good news. But, there is always a "But". Last month he purchased an i7 processor, new motherboard and RAM. Not as good as the sweepstake one but a good one. It took him four months of saving to acquiree it.

Intel will mail the winning processor directly to me.😂 I will replace my i5 with the new super processor. Maybe for Christmas 🎄 because I would have to get a new motherboard and RAM to install it. There is always a "But".

I have no idea what I will use that much processing power for. Maybe I'll set up a server. At least I will not have to worry about upgrading for many years to come once I get it set up.

It doesn't come to often but when good news comes it's a nice thing. I have a saying , That one ah shit takes away all the attaboys. Does it work in the reverse? I don't think so. It would be like taking back something you said. Once said it's out there and can never be removed. You can apologize for it, but never take back the hurt it cause. I will just enjoy the moment and drive on with life always remembering how fortunate I am for what I have.
