The Diary Game (16-05-2023): My Activities in Making Rice
Today, after my morning prayer, I started by brushing my teeth. Me and my younger sister, with the username @peace-woka, went to fetch water from the borehole. After fetching the water, we had bread and soy milk as a breakfast.
We went to the farm to check on our yam ridges because Fulani are living in that area, and they usually take their cows out to feed around our farm, so we always have to check on our farm so that they won't go into our farm and destroy our farm produce.
While we were at the farm, we told some jokes and riddles just to entertain ourselves. It was really fun and entertaining.
After some hours on the farm, we came back home. My mom had already prepared tuwo and okro soup, so after taking our bath, we had our lunch and rested for an hour.
Later, we parboiled rice for milling because the next day would be market day, and we would go to the market to sell the rice. The rice had already been soaked the previous day, so all we did was parboiled and dry the rice, which we are going to take the next day to the machine in the market that will mill the rice.

Finally, we were true to the work. I was so excited because it's been a long time since I did so much work like that. I grew up with my aunt in Abuja, and we don't do such work. So all this was a bit stressful.
Living in the village is indeed very stressful; one has to go to the farm to look for firewood, go to the borehole to fetch water, go to the farm to work, come back home to do house chores, and more.
