Street manga reader and his audience
I just ran into this guy about a month ago in one of these festivals at Yoyogi koen! (I was just passing through it in a hurry, can't remember the exact theme)
I used to live in Shimokitazawa about 10 years ago, and I would frequently spot him reading mangas aloud to whoever was interested, underneath a small train bridge (it probably would have make a much moodier picture than this one!). I moved in a couple other districts since then, and had totally forgotten about this peculiar artist. I was so glad to see him still performing as strong as ever. The kids weren't even scared. I guess by now half of Tokyo has at least heard of him. Famous in his own way (though I don't know his name...).
