Dear Steemians,

From my invisible crystal ball, I can foresee that we'll be having this conversation within the next 10 years or even less. I really HATE it when people ask me what I do for a living. As if my identity or my entire purpose of existence relies solely on my day job. Lets get real here, do I really have a choice when society conspire to force an early retirement on me?

In the beginning, like in the book of Genesis, I was trained as a molecular biologist. It took more than 10,000 hours to reach mastery level. No shortage of blood, sweat and tears to get where I am today. No joke! I really worked (not pimped) my ass up the laboratory ladder. I started as a ~~cheap labor~~ cleaning lady before slowly progressing from a laboratory demonstrator to a technician and then to a researcher.

Then, one fine day, some hateful smartass invented a miracle.
This piece of shit is known as the liquid handling system or robotics arm.
It will take away jobs from thousands of technicians.

After I got retrenched, I still needed to support myself and so I got myself into the food industry.

I had fun for a while until something way SEXIER replaced me...

This time around, I am really down in the dumpster, at the lowest point of my life.
Never mind that I can still see that tiny silver lining in the clouds hidden somewhere although there isn't any cloud to be found really.
Again, I've gotten involved in the service industry...

My days of parading around in a bikini despite the cold weather was again short-lived.
As though I've offended the heavens and karma was working on an overtime shift.
Some bitch had to be jealous of my new found happiness. Why???

Long story short, the entire point of this post is please do not ask me about my occupation anymore. The future is becoming way too unpredictable. Who knows I might need to resort to the below alternative someday.
