A Meditation on the Colour Blue...
Just after dawn when night withdraws, everything bathed in blue. The quality of light makes the world new again. Everything is still and quiet. The tick and crack of a cooling car and engine is carried on a wave of blue sounds.
Buildings that looked tired and old last night are as pristine as they were on the day the builder laid his last brick. The streets are devoid of the thronging mass of people whose myriad shades absorb and dull this super real medium. If sound was a colour just after dawn it would be blue. It’s a colour out of time, touched by the hand of the infinite. Dark and empty streets become magnificent vistas, transformed for a fleeting moment to reflect a cosmic significance.
Details otherwise overlooked become massively significant. Hidden meaning becomes apparent. Blue is the colour of mystery explained – a fleeting sense of complete comprehension of the scheme of things. For those moments bathed in a creator’s glow all is right with a world that knows only fury and motion and disorder. Blue is the hegemony of light, an ordered, infinitely complex clockwork toy; each component perfectly suited to its neighbour. It is conformity at its most creative. Blue is a quiet shout.
Most morning see this perfect, gossamer delicate blue blown away by the slightest breeze. On an autumnal morning blue hangs around a bit longer to soften the world’s face. Blue carries the sounds of morning far into the afternoon. Blue is the lens that undoes the myopic damage everyday life does. It is the colour of reflection and inward examination. It is the jeweller’s loop picking out and magnifying the sheer child like wonder at a perfect, flawed world
Blue is a broken shard of understanding, just enough to give a glimpse of what is real, what matters most until the other colours of day jostle and trample over it, when the epiphenal moment is lost and motion becomes commotion.
Blue is the peaceful part that hides between moments, always there but rarely noticed.
Blue is hope.

Excellent work dear friend @wisbeech, I really liked what you just wrote, I have to admit that I have a lot of inclination to choose things where the blue predominates, the example is that attracted me to the post, do not enter by title, enter by the beautiful Image, many thanks for this interesting post
Thanks nano2nd, it was something I had written for a creative writing class a while back, we were asked to write a short piece on how we felt on a certain colour, my inspiration came from, of all things , the blue power light you hot on a PS3, but I have always been drawn to blue, I appreciate your comments.
That is great man, very poetic!
