I prefer Buns to puff puff.

Hello @everyone accept special greetings from my home country Cameroon .It’s another week bringing exciting write up about what do we prefer to consume most between puff puff or buns ?.Most people in my locality will go in puff puff. puff puff is made with all purpose flour, with a combination of other Ingredients . Which are ; yeast, sugar ,spinch of salt ,water etc .Due to it soft texture and less costly some people will prefer puff puff.

As for me I Prefer buns than puff puff .The richness, Taste and the equality is totally different and can’t be compared with puff puff .Most people don’t go for it because it’s abit expensive make it .Buns is made of all purpose flour with the combination , butter ,evaporated condensed liquid milk, in the place of yeast we use baking powder,Sugar , eggs, sugar, Nutmeg etc.

I will be sharing with you guys, the steps and the procedure involved in making buns. I hope you will find pleasure reading through my post and learning something new.

Ingredients needed to make buns

The following are ingredients needed to make buns .It’s should be noted that your ingredients will always depend on the quantity of flour you will want to use . Therefore my explanation will be focused on quantity of flour I have used .

  • 7 measuring cups of flour
  • 2 Tablespoons of baking powder
  • Two small peak milk (evaporated condensed milk)
  • 1lites of vegetable oil
  • Two Teaspoons of Nutmeg
  • 1/2 measuring cup of margarine or butter
  • A pinch of salt
  • 4 fresh large eggs
  • 1/2 of sugar
  • 1/2 of water

procedure /Steps involved in making buns

The following are the procedures involved in making buns below 👇.

Step1

Measure the quantity of your flour needed and sieve inside a bowl to make sure there is dirt inside.
Add in all your dry ingredients inside the flour like salt ,Nutmeg, baking powder, sugar and mix it well together for it to have a good combination

Step2

Make sure you melt your magerine, when it’s cold .Add in your your melted cold magerine .

Step3

Add in your crack eggs , as your adding your wet ingredients in each steps .It’s becomes a bit softer.

Step4

The last ingredients to is your evaporated condensed milk and mix it well .Make the texture should be hard . If it’s hard a bit of water or if the texture is normal no need of adding water again .

Make your mixed buns in round balls , This is ease the process of frying .

Step6

On your gascooker or if you have but firewood you can still use it. Make sure you regulate your flame to be normal .Put a deep clean pot on the gas, put your vegetable oil and allow it to get heated. After reduce the flame. Start frying your dough,it’s should noted if the oil is too hurt it will instead get burnt and not get ready inside. Fry it until see your burns having a brown shining color . Before you can remove it , here your buns is ready to eat.

Buns is ready to eat

It called buns because of the cracks it developed on the body when you are frying it .That is how buns is supposed to be not smooth like puff puff .Buns most cracks while frying and that what make it nice in the mouth eating .

Make sure the inside of your buns is airy and not tide .If the inside does not look airy and yummy 😋 like this one .Then you most have made a mistake during your mixture.

Buns I prefer to puff because of the richness,taste and quality .The airy nature is always something else 😋

At this juncture I have come to end of my explanation on how to make a simple buns . I hope you all learn something new. Am open to questions,You can share with me in the comments section if the same methods use here differ from other method to make buns.
