Hi I'm Winthu!

My name is Knut André W. Jøsok I produce electronic music with the stagename Winthu.

I'm 25 years old, born and live in Norway. I've been interacting with music all my life, literally. All since I attended my dad's brassband sessions as a baby, with brassband & piano lessons at the age of 7 and through DJ residency at a student club as an adult.

My music is weird. That's the best way to describe it. I can't really put a finger on where I get my influences from. Although I have a 4/4 sheetmusic feel to all my compositions.

Tiësto from his Trance days was my main reason for starting with DJ'ing. Producing was kind of a way to get leverage to get gigs. However I've paused my DJ career to embrace the producer life. Avicii's melodies woke something inside of me and his music just makes me happy. Which is a good thing, I think that all music should make you happy. Recently I've been inspired by the innovative music from KSHMR, and strive to become on par with his knowledge of music.

Over the past 7 years I've produced nearly 4000 tracks, which has never been released. I judt suck at finishing projects, my mind wanders to the next project, and I can easily create 3-4 tracks a day, if I don't control myself.

My vision has always been to create music to help humanity. We live in a fantastic, yet dark period of time. Music has never been so important before. It is literally changing lives, and bring joy to the world.

The other day I watched the One Love Manchester concert, and I suddenly had a lightbulb moment. That is what I want to do. To create music that tear the darkness apart and bring the world together in unity. I've always neglected the thought of being famous, as I do not focus on making money through my music. I've changed my mind, I'm gonna be famous to change the world and become a symbol of hope for the generations to come.
