That is technically a self portrait. A tripod was involved, of course, and I was handholding the flash. We have a Pocketwizard setup so that our flash is wireless via RF signal up to about 20-30ft. No real story involved other than that I saw it snowing, so before it started gathering on the ground I grabbed my gear, looked at my wife and said, "Watch this..."
I like all 3 but I think the one in snow is especially cool. What's the story behind that photo? Was the subject holding the flash?

i like the top one, it brings back memories of camping in New Zealand with my girlfriend years ago. Nice photos mate.
