Backpacking with friends - Part ll: Jazz Festival at the Teresa Carreño Theater.

in #travel7 years ago

Hi, dear friends!

A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to travel to the Capital of the Country (Caracas), along with my friends @gpieromusic and @guitartech to enjoy what would be by far one of the best weekends I've had, full of laughs, walks, music and lots of fun. Although, it had proposed to divide the trip in three parts to tell them better about him, this already would be the second part.

I hope you stay until the end of the post, and enjoy reading.

If you want to know more about the first part of this adventure, I invite you to read my previous post: Backpacking with the Friends - We went to the Capital (Venezuela) | Part l : The Adventure

One of the main attractions and our biggest motivation to make this trip was the wonderful "Jazz Festival Venezuela" that would take place in the theater "Teresa Carreño" in which they would be presenting numerous and diverse artists, performing different musical themes of genres such as Latin jazz, jazz fusion, Latin-Caribbean and Afro-Venezuelan music.

This festival lasted approximately one week in which each day had various activities as well as musical presentations in its different rooms and places of entertainment.

It should be noted that the cost for the different activities that were taking place in the theater were really very cheap, which surprised us a lot because there were a lot of very good artists, even with artists already internationally recognized.

Among the activities that were taking place that week in the "Jazz Festival" were the clinics or musical workshops and the execution of instruments such as piano, drums, saxophone, trumpet, guitar, double bass, singing, among others; focused on the style of Jazz. As well as concerts behind closed doors of different musical groups such as those mentioned above and Jam session (informal meeting of musical improvisation) which mostly took place outdoors at night.

Sample of the Simón Bolívar Big Band Jazz

Among all the presentations that we could attend that weekend loaded with a lot of great music, among the things that we were left wanting to see even more was the "Simón Bolívar Big Band Jazz" since we could only appreciate a small sample of the same since the complete orchestra would be armed on the stage the last day of the festival to end the event. That day we went in the company of some lovely friends who were also in the capital, making the night a much more enjoyable enjoyment.

Finally, I would like to share with you some small videos taken by my great friend @guitartech in the concert, so that you can enjoy what this musical show and its publications about this wonderful trip was.
