Las Vegas Vacation | Dream Destination | 1st Wedding Anniversary | Travel #9

Good day Steemians! Mrs @fearlessfaith and I went to Las Vegas for vacation as a celebration of our 1st year together as married.

This vacation was a blast!

Start the journey

A day before the trip we had our luggage and all the stuff prepared for a 10-day vacation. 3 days in Vegas and 7 days in California. It was our firs time trip to Las Vegas so we were really excited and made sure that everything was prepared.

We started to leave the house before the sunrise. Start the car engine ready to for a long drive! Since that we are living in the “Mountain Mama” West Virginia, it took us almost 5 hours drive to Cincinnati Kentucky International Airport (CVG) to have our flight from there to Las Vegas. Although we an airport near in our place, we’ve discovered that flying from this state was cheaper like double the amount we would pay in the airport near in our place. So, we didn’t bother with the long ride, the important was we could save and have the extra saving allotted for our 3-day hotel stay in Las Vegas instead. Quite smart!

While on our way to Cincinnati Kentucky International Airport (CVG) we also enjoyed the View on our way and did some side trips. Have some stop for rest and outlet stores where you can buy some original stuff like Nike, Adidas etc. and can buy them up to 80% discount price. We bought some but not too much.

When we reach the Cincinnati we had our car parked in an open parking and pay about 8 dollars/day. From the paring, there was a shuttle bus waiting to drive us to the airport so it wasn't a hassle for us at all.

I had many trips before and I enjoyed it a lot, but this particular trip was extra especial as I have my wife with me. We both are travelers and we love it. Crazy travelers but plan about it and save for it.

Welcome to Las Vegas!

We finally landed after 3 hours on air. So welcome to Las Vegas! The Sin City as they call it.
You know the feeling of finally stepping to your dream place? It was fantastic!! So I asked my wife to frame me with this signboard. Just a remembrance ^_^

Hotel Stay

We booked our hotel through an online agency and guess what, it was on sale that time, so we were so blessed to have our 3-day stay very cheap. It costs us only about $150.00 inclusive breakfast, gym and the pool use.

So we stayed in Westgate Resort where we thought everything was perfect. We were on the 18th floor. This picture with outside overview I took the next morning. It was great to see the beautiful Vegas view with the popular GRAND CANYON in the background from inside our room. Aside from the view outside, there's a casino on the ground where you can do some games if you love to.

I thought that this place is also strategic for all the traveler as it has a monorail station beside which is just a few steps from the hotel.

Good morning! Our first day and ready to explore the city.

Days Gala

Mrs @fearlessfaith and I had our preplanned Itinerary on where and what to do but on the first day, it was ruined lol. We supposed to go and visit our dream Grand Canyon but it was canceled. Going there to explore the area from our place would take us about 1 day and it was quite expensive. We thought it wasn’t worth it in spending our whole day so we put all our time to explore the City instead and agreed to maybe visit the Grand Canyon next time.(Maybe when the sbd get high value hahaha).

2 days ride all you can train ticket

The good thing about Las Vegas is that you can visit different places or Strips through a Motorail. It has drop point on every tourist attraction. You can buy a ticket good for a single ride, 24 hrs or couple days ride. We had our ticket good for two days and paid about $24.00 each (1500.00 Php money) quite expensive! 😊

Mrs @fearlessfaith and I waiting for our ride. I was studying the map while she was I think reading a brochure she got in the station for free.

Since we purchased a 2-day ride all you can ticket, then we had fun riding back and forth while enjoying every view our eyes see from night and day.

First stop in Bally's and Paris Las Vegas Station

Place wherein you will see the Eiffel Tower, Bellagio, the famous huge dancing fountain, Planet Hollywood and many more. My wife was just disappointed as she was not able to see the fountain due to bad weather so they stop it.

Inside the Paris building was incredibly beautiful where you can see a lot of Paris-setup restaurants while the ceiling designed as the sky. You will also see a lot of Filipinos working here.

Miss Universe 2017

We were also lucky enough that the Miss universe 2017 was happening on that day so we took the opportunity to watch. It was our first time ever watching miss Universe live and I could tell the Planet Hollywood stadium was filled with Filipinos half of its audience cheering our representative so wild! That was another night to remember for both of us.

After the event we went straight to our hotel since we got tired already from strolling the whole day and continue the site seeing the next day.

Last Day

Maximizing our time on the last day. We went to some places as well which we missed on our first day. Here also we went to one of the historical places in Las Vegas the Caesars Palace. Inside was full of fascinating beauties as well. We wanted to tour inside as much as we can but the place was too wide that our time was not enough.

There are lots of beautiful places to visit in Las Vegas and our stay was too short to experience all of them. Our experience was definitely a blast and everything was amazing. If we could have another chance to visit then we would surely go again. We thought that was one of the travels we had that we really enjoyed. Everything was convenient. From the place where we stayed to going around through smooth transportations.

The next morning we had our stuff all packed and ready to check out. Got out from the hotel feeling satisfied! Went straight with Mrs @fearlessfaith to the airport and ready for our next destination.
