Our time requires men
Men who will carry their destinies on their heads & rove through haunted terrains
undeterred by the rampage of nature
and the sneer of by-standing people.

At this passage of life
let the cross be our lot
as we walk on, not quaking under its weight
as we keep the knowledge of why we must not faint.

For the sake of our companions in strange lands
and our mothers drenched by the market rain,
we must tread on ever so willingly.

Though deserted by bosom friends
and parodied by persistent foes
our spirits must not be broken.
We are the pathfinders of new lands
and the emancipators of our fellows-in-chains.
