SteemChurch- Delivering the Heart
💕 Delivering the Heart💕
✟ When we receive Christ Jesus in our lives, it is very common for us to start with great enthusiasm and with great desire to succeed; each one of us willingly decides to surrender his heart to the Lord, but do we truly give our heart?
Delivering the heart goes beyond a simple prayer to God and tells him that we love him and that we offer our heart and our life to Him; surrendering the heart is something much deeper, because it has nothing to do with words, but has to do with facts.
During my time at the university, I met several classmates who had decided to "give" their hearts to Jesus, but their attitudes and deeds were completely different from the will of God, I remember one of them told me that in the beginning he felt eager to work in the activities of his church, but with the passage of time that desire was taken away and that now it was enough for him to go to church on Sundays, since that was a way to cleanse himself of all the things he had done during the week. What really happened? Why was your attitude at first a desire to work and now you think differently? The truth of things is because this person when he said that he gave his heart to God was only vain words.
✞This situation in the churches is very common, and it is because people do not know how to commit themselves, because there is no true surrender of the heart, and since this does not exist, it is very easy for us to fall into sin, which does not allow us to continue in the way of our Lord; it is there where discouragement, laziness, apathy, and the doors to sin open up and prevent our hearts from being given to God.
But what is it to give the heart to God? To give the heart to God is to live passionately for his Word, to know God in all his senses, to live a life in communion with him, to accept his will, to submit to his commandments and ordinances, to say "here I am" when he call, is also to have an attitude of worship and service, is to remain in joy every day even when the circumstances of our lives are very adverse, is to stand up in the storm or the test remembering that this is for blessing and strength; it is also to believe God trusting fully in Him, always giving him glory, honor, praise, adoration, offering and blessing, in conclusion, our heart is to LOVE our God with all that we are.
The Bible tells us in Mark 12:30 And you will love the Lord with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind and with all your strength. This is the main commandment.
The Lord shows us that when we truly love him, we can overcome any trial or adversity no matter how hard it is, if we give our hearts and remain in his love, he will be with us at all times.
The Lord Jesus spoke about it in John 15: 4a Abide in me, and I in you. Verse 9 As the Father has loved me, so I also have loved you, remain in my love.
The Lord teaches us in Joshua 1: 9 that we should be courageous and courageous, so even when the trials that come are very hard, if we have our hearts truly given to God we will surely triumph. Remember dear brother, that God has already won and that makes you victorious too, as long as you remain in Him, in His love, and surrendering all your heart.
One of the things we most long for is to take steps to discern the will of Two.
If you were given a paper and asked to describe God's will, what would you write? The will of God is an essential part of the walk of a Christian; an aspect that every believer should strive to understand.
In Romans 12: 1, we read these words,
So, brothers, I beg you for the mercies of God to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, pleasing to God, which is your rational worship.
As you consider the will of God, you will see that it is a subject where there are many different opinions.
✞For example, some people are fearful when they consider the will of God and see it as a tremendous cloud over their heads. They contemplate God as someone severe and even sadistic. Although they would not express their thoughts using these terms, if we got to the bottom of the matter we would understand that what they have is fear of the will of God and they think that if they submit to the will of God they will be miserable.
Young people often think that they can not trust God concerning their future life partner. They fear that God can give you a wife who does not live up to your expectations.
Others are bored with the will of God. They see it as something monotonous and trite. They want adventures and are determined to make their own choices.
There is another group of people who are confused about the will of God. For them it is a great puzzle that is extremely difficult to put together; as they think of God's will they are simply confused.
💛These three misconceptions about the will of God follow the following order:
Atemerized of the will of God.
Brilled with the will of God.
Confused about the will of God.
These three misconceptions about God's will arise from a wrong perspective of the person of God and His program for His people. Due to these false perspectives, we find people fearing, fleeing and liking against the will of God.
A teacher at a Christian school asked her first grade class to draw a picture of God. All kinds of drawings were made.
If you had to do the same assignment, what would your drawing look like? Where would you start? Actually no one can draw God, but could you describe it?
In the book of Romans the Apostle Paul introduces us to this amazing subject of God's will.
✟ ✟ In Romans 12: 1 Paul says, "I beseech you (I beseech you) for the mercies of God, (for all that God has done for you) that you present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, pleasing to God, which is your worship rational "(it is the only reasonable way to praise God). Then, in Romans 12: 2, he talks about what and how we think:
Be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your understanding, that you may prove what is the good will of God, acceptable and perfect. (English Version).
When Paul concludes with this verse, he addresses the will of God.
