bread from heaven
Someone once said: "for those who believe a miracle is not necessary; and for those who do not believe, a miracle is not enough ". This is an almost absolute truth in the entire human race in relation to Divine or supernatural interventions, but that was very evident in the midst of the Israelite people, who for the space of 40 years witnessed countless of them; among these miracles stands out in a spectacular degree having received the town El Maná or Pan del Cielo.
In the face of the absolute reality of the Divine Being, with all the power to execute all that his will wants or thinks fit for his purposes, the greatest of all his actions, if we take it for granted, is to have a creation that is governed by inexorable laws almost immutable without which we could not exist and / or remain sane. Who could live with a changing universe? In this sense, a slight variation of the order of things by a supernatural being produces chaos or astonishment. When there are interventions of some kind of these beings then we talk about supernatural facts and there are three types: prodigies, signs and miracles.
It is worthwhile to pause a bit to consider some of the supernatural interventions that we already mentioned. In the case of Josué, much is speculated about this prodigy, until there was a letter that mentioned that NASA could somehow verify the absence of a day lacking in time or rather almost a day, which is why they resort to the ten degrees or minutes of Isaiah to complete the lost day. This was no more than mere speculation since it could not be proven that such an experiment has been made and in the absence of credibility we are exposed to deception (we must be very careful when giving credit and run to unreliable stories). We do not have to help the faith of people falsifying or lying about things that did not happen or we were not eyewitnesses of it.
Joshua's is one of God's most amazing interventions that demonstrates his extraordinary power and greatness for having attended Jehovah to the voice of a man when he said: "Sun, stop at Gibeon; And you, moon, in the valley of Ajalón. And the sun stopped and the moon stopped. "Joshua 10: 12-13.
We will also comment on the prodigy of Moses to convert a staff or cane into a living serpent, we do it because it draws our attention how it was possible for the Egyptian magicians to replicate such a prodigy; many people attribute it to a prodigy of satan who acted in those magicians (and with all property does even with those of today) whom the Apostle Paul names as Jannes and Jambres resorting to the comments of the Jews in the Talmud or of its mention in some Targum, because its names are not mentioned anywhere else in the writings of Moses or the prophets (2 Timothy 3: 8).
They also managed to replicate the wonders of turning water into blood and bringing frogs with their enchantments, but like any magician, they must have resorted to the trick of using a kind of "plastic" rubber or malleable material in their rods that replicated in similarity of a living snake. To be sarcastic, if these two rods were unique, (and we all know what the rods represent for a magician), they lost them because the snake-rod of the bassinet devoured them.
But they could not have been alive, because these same magicians were amazed and unused by the miracle of Moses to turn the dust of the earth into lice, and the organism of a louse is far from the complexity of a reptile or snake. That's why they said: "God's finger is this! ... because the sorcerers did likewise, to get lice with their enchantments; but they could not. And there were lice in both men and beasts. "Exodus 8:18.
Miracles do not necessarily produce authentic conversion, this is very evident in the scriptures, because before the abundance of them, as for example the facts during 40 years in the desert (especially those of the first year in that pilgrimage of the Israelite town), these they had no effect on their hearts.
