Flying over Boston

This is my fourth flight in 3 weeks. This time, I'm flying off to Boston Logan Airport in the USA and will be spending about 2 weeks in Boston.

As my experience with taking flights grow, I find that I start picking up little tricks here and there to make the overall travelling experience better. How to get through security clearance quicker. Which seat I should choose on the flight. Which airline is better and which airline should definitely be avoided if possible.

But the entire experience never becomes enjoyable for me. It's always something that I would rather get over and done with as soon as possible, and everything I do is aimed at minimising the discomfort. Nothing beats being in an armchair back at home, not even flying first class!

Sort:

Are you flying for business? Maybe the feeling is different because you're going there for an obligation if it is for business.

I like flying and the excitement for the next travel destination. I usually just enjoy watching movies or eating. But it may be different if I had to fly like that many times in 3 weeks. Enjoy Boston :)

It's a mixture of business and pleasure for me. I do enjoy being in a new destination and am always ready to soak up a new cultural experience and to see new things.

But I really don't like being in transit. I used to enjoy the experience of flying, because it was new to me, but that quickly wore off. Nowadays, I just want to get to the location as quickly as possible. The movies and drinks definitely help, but they're also inferior versions of what you get off the plane!

It can really wear you off if you always fly that much. And a faster transit is better so we can enjoy the destination more :)

You just planted 0.40 tree(s)!

When I was working here and my family was in Ontario, I had to fly every six weeks or so. It was two flights and even though it was only between five and six hours total, it took almost a full day with the airports. That shit really wipes you out and I would spend a couple of days just recovering from the travel so I get where you are coming from.

I haven't flown in three years now. If we have to go, we drive and camp across the country.
