The Lone Bitcoiner
I just wish Bitcoin was a subject in school when I attended, it's so fascinating and not boring like 97.56417002% of school, I would of been top of my class. And for what I'm about to talk about I'll probably be the only one in this class.
It's 2017 and besides the few Bitcoin meet ups I've been to over the years, I've yet to meet anyone who knows Bitcoin at the level I do or above. It's nice to dream about Bitcoin, the effects it will have on this planet, future apps and companies built around it. It would be nice to share ideas with someone who understands the technology as well as I do, and to hear what they have to say in return.
Everybody I know is Bitcoin ignorant, they only know what I've told them and even then they can't remember much. Most are just interested in the price, to me that's the least interesting thing about Bitcoin. I've told all my friends and family about it, nobody shows as much enthusiasm as I do. Random people I've met, fuck your small talk about the weather, I just start to go in on Bitcoin. Most of the time they're left baffled but it's cool. At least now they have heard of it and the chances are they will hear it mentioned again not long after our conversation. If they wasn't interested the first time we spoke, the next time they hear Bitcoin they'll be compelled to say something because they'll feel they're in the "know" now. Even if they don't know shit! They just know the name Bitcoin.
I wonder how many of you out there are in the same situation as I am, with no Bitcoin friends? And how does it make you feel? I do feel alone on this subject of Bitcoin. Though logging on to reddit brings a sigh of relief lol.

I feel the same way! I may not have massive amounts of knowledge, but I do find myself pretty lonely when it comes to knowing just more than the word "Bitcoin". I too have also had amazing visions, thinking about what the world could be like with this technology!
I know it's hard to dream with someone when they have no idea what it is you're talking about. I find myself voiding conversations amongst groups of people I work with, because as far as I'm concerned if the convo ain't about Bitcoin then I haven't got shit to say. Nothing in this world has me hooked like Bitcoin has got me. The tech is truly amazing, I wonder if there'll be a international holiday one day in recognition of this technology.
