A little introduction won't hurt 🙃
Good evening ladies and gents,
It's 23:30 in Oporto, Portugal and because it's like -3 degrees (it's actually close to 10 but we Portuguese tend to exaggerate a little, and besides that, we're used to much warmer temperatures almost has much as we're used to codfish 🤢), due to that fact I chose to enclose myself inside the four walls that I call my home with my little heater red lining right beside me (yes, thats a car metaphor for you folks).
I'm alone because my parents went to see my brothers basketball game and what was I doing with my spare free-time? Thats right, watching @jerrybanfield and other youtubers talk about bitcoin and other cryptos, it's pretty much all I do, oh and I also fiddle around with my camera now and then and surprisingly, at least for me, some good shots find there way on to my camera!!
Of course one thing Jerry is famous for is being sort of a "public relations" for steem blockchain in many occasions. He talked about it so much that, today, 15 December 2017, I decided to give it ago and start the wondrous journey in this steem world I know so much about but haven't ever tried!
My approach to this project, which I'm gonna call Abstract Satisfaction (whynot), is mainly going to focus on a photo/video report of my day-to-day life in my favourite city and country (that was recently considered "best European destination") and surroundings, as well as some interests of mine that I'm sure most likely will not interest you, but what ev's (using typical American slang like a boss, check it).
It's a pleasure to be apart of this project which I believe has very high potencial in becoming one of the main social networks out there! I hope this is the start of a fun and fruitful relationship (both cultural and to be reaaally honest, monetary). I also hope some of you out there will have the willingness and the patience to help me be successful!

Looks like you're on your way to success @whynotas.
Be sure to power up your earnings while the SBD is high.
Most of the smart investors are leaving 50% as SD, and powering up the other 50% of payouts.
Personally, I'm powering up 100% until the first of the year, as many are.
But, having a safety net in SD is arguably a much better idea.

About that nice piece of advice, I have been putting 100% on steem power but what about steem coin? Shouldn't I have any? Not that I plan to cash out because, honestly, Im in this for the long run!

Smart move! Before long, you'll be a rich man with the hodl mindset.
About the SD, as you read the various posts, you'll see it's a mixed bag. I think @jerrybanfield recommends holding half in SD.
I'm no expert; but, I usually get a lot of solid wisdom from @taskmaster4450. He puts out a lot of interesting posts on Steem projections.
Also, signing up with Steem Now is very helpful for seeing your progress in one stop. Just replace @penguinpablo with your user name to see your voting power, etc.
One last suggestion: While the SBD is high, don't power up 100%. Post at 50/50. Buy when you get your payout. The SBD is currently @~$10. SP is only ~$2., so you're losing $8. per dollar value. Here's the link for buying when you get your payout:
