PELICAN RELAXING ON AN OLD JETTY PILON
Today we went walking along a local boardwalk, at a beach not far from where we live. It was a glorious day, and definitely did not feel like winter.
There was animal life everywhere, and it seems they were enjoying the warmth as much as we were.
This beautiful Pelican resting on an old jetty pilon caught my eye, he/she looked too large to be comfortable sitting there, and yet it stayed there for quite a few hours.
I think it had had a large meal of freshly caught fish, and was feeling very content digesting its food. There were a lot of fish in the water, you could see them swimming because the clarity was so good, so I think catching them would have been easy for him.

I have no idea. I thought maybe it had something to do with digesting its food.

Oh I absolutely love this post. These pictures are awesome! I just saw a pelican for the first time last month in Florida, but it wasn't doing anything cool like this one chilling on the pole with its mouth open!
Thankyou, I really don't know what this one was doing, maybe still in the process of swallowig fish.😁 Have you ever seen them fly? They are awesome, they look so big, like a jumbo jet.
No! I have only seen a couple at different times they were standing, or maybe walking, just doing boring things you'd say, I didn't even wanna take pictures of them hahaha. I like the time of the day you captured this birdie too, just turned out a cool photo!
