So This Just Happened

     It was feeding time for the dogs and of course they get a nice big bowl of fresh filtered water. That worked out great. My lady made a new pitcher of iced tea which worked out flawlessly. So while all of this is going on I am browning hamburger to make chili.  That worked out exactly as expected.

    Now for the fun part. The water if it isn't sent through the filter it has a bad effect. For the recipe I need a few cups of water. I go to start filling the measuring cup full of water and boom, a crack erupts in the side of the filter housing sending water everywhere. So now what? I have to take a fifty mile trip to the store and use up precious fuel to purchase another sink filter housing using some of the last fuel money I have set aside. The joy of it all. You just have to laugh.

    On a side note the chili I was making is amazing. It is made by Bear Creek and just requires water and meat if you want it to have meat, and a can of tomato paste. I also like to add a can of refried beans to it. It is a very cheap meal and will feed four people. As it is just my lady and I we get to have chili for two days. 

    I have attempted to glue the crack with gorilla glue but I will have to hold that as a spare because it will not be cured until tomorrow. I cannot in good conscience allow my lady and my dogs to not have drinking water until then. I also have no idea if my bush fix will actually work so off to the store I go. Joy!
