Spring Flowers- Meadow Violets- Part 16

Meadow Violets

One of the first flowers to bloom in early spring are Meadow Violets. The most common color is a purplish-blue but they also come in white.

Each flower droops slightly and has it's own stalk.

This photo shows the heart-shaped leaves that form a funnel. When the temperature gets hot, the flowers die and the leaves remain.

I was lucky to find these white violets.

The flowers are edible and contain a lot of vitamins A and C. You can put them in a salad or use them to make jellies. Just make sure the lawns have not been chemically treated before you eat them.

More spring flowers to come, so stay tuned. Thanks for looking!

I would certainly love your new flower photos.... ;)

Well, I did not know that these types of flowers were edible; very good data; although we are clear, it is not its nutritional value that interests us now; what we must value right now is its beauty. I like that violet color very much to decorate my garden.
Greetings @whatisnew

I couldn't agree with you more! Do you already have the violet ones in your garden?

beautiful color

Thank you and thanks for stopping by! : )

You have a minor grammatical mistake in the following sentence:

Each flower droops slightly and has it's own stalk.
It should be its own instead of it's own.

Hi @whatisnew, how are you? That kind of planatations grow well in my country, but I don't know its name.

Long time not say hi to you. :)

Happy nice day. Wish you happy all the time.

Warm regard for you. :)
