Spirea Shrub
I love trees and shrubs with arching or weeping branches and this Spirea Shrub is one of them. These photos were taken over a period of time, from May when the blooming began until just a few days ago.
There are approximately 100 species of Spirea which are in the rose family. They bloom from late May to June.
The tiny white flowers have 5 petals and depending on the species, the flowers can also be pink or red.
Full Bloom
Mature Spirea shrubs are 5-8 feet tall. This is what the shrub looks like today.
Thanks for looking!

Love your over time photos 💕 @whatisnew!!
Often hard to keep them handy over time and
round them up for a posting! :-)
Awesome flowering shrub, will it get fall
looking colors too? And does it smell good?
Thanks @shasta and I love your moose icon!!!
That is so you! : )
Yup, it is time consuming to get all of the pics together.
It will turn a dull, drab yellow in the fall, nothing like the trees and the flowers don't have any smell.
Thank you @whatisnew! ❤ You are the first to notice! :-)
Lovely plant, where do they originate from?
Thanks. This one originates from Asia and some species are native to the U.S.
