Security is simply the state of being free from threat or danger. Saferty measures must be taken to prevent us from danger.

SECURITY IN STEEMIT

Steemit as a body took these safety measures to protect it's user's account. they developed 5 keys Which are

• Memo key
• Posting key
• Active key
• Master key
• Owner key

MEMO KEY: this key is used to encrypt and decrypt Information, encryption means transferring information into secret code while decryption means decoding secret codes.

POSTING KEY: as the name implies, it is used for posting, it is used for downvoting and upvoting also.

ACTIVE KEY: this key is used for transactions and also used when powering up.

MASTER KEY: this is the master of all keys, a master is one that is supreme to others, you can recover other keys through this keys.

OWNER KEY: the term ownership means possession of something, so this key makes you have full access to your account.

SECURING KEYS

When opening a steemit account, the first key you come across is your master key, after that You are going to see a PDF containing all your keys, download it and it will be in your PDF, now the best you can secure them better is by saving it in your email, so incase you lost your device, you can still get your keys in your email.

HOW TO TRANSFER TOKEN

In order to transfer steem to other accounts, you will have to follow some steps

• Click on the round Icon at the top, you will see post, notification, comments, wallet etc, click on wallet.

• A page will appear showing wallet, click on the steem token and options will appear
• Then click on the transfer option.

• A page will appear where boxes are been provided, then you can fill in the username and amount of steem you want to transfer.

POWERING UP

*To power up , go to wallet, tap the options and click power up.

• Boxes will be provided where you can input the amount of steem you want to power up.
