Geocaching, meet Bitcoin

My two favourite pastimes: Geocaching and all things cryptocurrency. So what do you get when the two meet? Takara.

Takara, according to its creators, is a Japanese word for treasure. It is also the name of an app available for Android and iOS in which you go to real places and get free (YES, FREE) bitcoin.

There are also other rewards such as Geocoin and game rewards for the creators, Mandelduck's, other mobile game.

How does it work?

Download the app from your Appstore.
Open the app and link your Facebook profile and Bitcoin address.
Explore the map for nearby treasure and go pick it up.

Notes
It should be noted that at the time of writing, nothing is available in South Africa but Kenya and Madagascar offers some rewards. Most bitcoin are to be found in the US, Europe and Japan with smaller numbers of drops in Brazil and Australia.
