Filipino Abroad

Working abroad is one of the many trade marks of Filipino. Everywhere you go even in the farthest or the coldest place on earth there are Filipinos who are working. Amidst all the pain and suffering due to loneliness and homesickness they still manage to do their best because they want to give their family a good future. All they got was a dream and that dream is their driving force and is big enough to sacrifice their own happiness. You see they have to deal with living on their own, working in a far away and strange lands. They do not know what is in store for them. All they know is they have to work so they can send their children to school and their way of living will improve. When one worker leave, he leaves his/her heart behind. It is not easy getting out of your comfort zone much more living alone in a different country. I wish I don't have to deal with this.

Sooner or later I'll be one of the Filipino who will work abroad. Though my dream is to earn big so my family and child will have a better and brighter future I don't dream of living them behind. That will be the saddest part of my life. When I have to leave to work abroad. But tell me, what choice do I have? I am working and yet its not enough for us. I feel that I deserve more. I have to work abroad to build our future and dreams. Though thinking about it gives me heartaches I am still dreadful of that day.

As a nurse here in the Philippines I am earning a minimum wage each month. It doesn't suffice the tiredness and time I am spending at work. It feels that I am under compensated, considering the work load I've got daily. We just don't sit there everyday. We have some patients to take care and to help them to recover. But I also have a family to take care of. I have a child to send to school. I am planning to work in the middle east to double my salary. At least I will have money to save and half of my salary will be for my family. This way we can live decently. This way we can double our savings. It's really easier said than done now. This is what I've been thinking lately

If only workers here in the Philippines are given the salary that they deserve. We don't have to go abroad to leave our family. No children will wake up each day without a mother or a father beside them. No husband or wife will get lonely the worst go astray.

People are thinking that when someone is working abroad they have a lot of money and they have an easy life.that's is just what they project on social media but they are dying inside from the loneliness. They are missing a lot of things from their family back home. When they come back all are different, all the children are all grown up. They are sacrificing a lot of themselves so they can provide for their families needs. However some if not most of the family that they left behind leave a grandiose life. They are not thinking that most of the foreign worker are not eating nor buying the things they need so they can send some money home. These families are just too dependent to that person who is working abroad and at the end of the contract they don't have the savings and they have to go out of the country again to work. Another lonely nights to bear. Another sacrifice to be made.

To those of you who have relatives abroad please value their hard earned money. You should save and allot for that persons dream. That is to build their family a better and bright future.

Kudos to every Filipino Abroad. May all of your dreams come true.
