So lets settle a few things.... Weve all got our personal preferences when it comes to "stacking" Precious Metals, but when all is said and done there can be truly only one!

We may have touched on this before, but i dont think weve ever gone in to this much detail and length to really discover which coin is the communities favourite.

The Vreneli, Vrenelli or Helvetia Head coins were issued from 1897 until 1949, with some exceptions. Coins produced after 1936 are all restrikes - these coins have the mintmark 'L'. The coin obverse features a female head with plaited hair, a garland of flowers (Edelweiss), with mountains behind, and the inscription HELVETIA above modelled by Fritz Ulisse Landry. The reverse has a swiss cross on a more ornate shield superimposed on an oak branch with ribbons. The value 20 FR appears at the sides of the shield, and the date below. This type was issued from 1897 to 1935, then again in 1947 and 1949. [SOURCE](https://www.chards.co.uk/1935-gold-swiss-20-francs-bullion-coin/1707)

The 20 Franc Rooster coin is struck in 0.900 fineness. This attractive French gold coin is sold at a low margin over the gold spot price. The obverse was designed by Jules-Clément Chaplain. The laureate bust portrays France's national symbol, Marianne with the engraver's name set in relief. The reverse bears an engraving of the unofficial French national symbol the le coq gaulois, rooster, by Jules-Clément Chaplain. The coin bears the inscription:LIBERTE·EGALITE·FRATERNITE· 20 FCS. Mint marks are either side of the date.[SOURCE](https://www.chards.co.uk/gold-twenty-20-franc-bullion-french/1569)

Ive tried to keep it fair this week by offering to you 2 very similar coins in terms of purity and weight. Theyre no where near the full oz, and my gut feeling says theyll fall by the wayside later on in the competition. Yet, im still highly interested to know if you fine guys and gals love a bit of european gold?

These coins were issued for circulation and are of a similar size to a UK sovereign. These coins are steeped in history and are ideal for coin collectors and investors.

So the question remains, for building a multi generational store of value, which one would you pick and why?? Simply leave a comment below or upvote the corresponding image in the comments.

We're now in to week nine of this competition. With two very strong coins battling it out last week. The votes have been counted and then counted again..... The overwhelming favorite was the Australian "double dragon" coin. No suprise really, it was my persochoice too, and if the cards fall favourably, i can see this little beauty progressing far in this competition.

Do you agree with this result?? If not, you probably should have voted!! Regardless, the 1oz DOUVLE DRAGON progresses on to round two, where it will join the 1oz Canadian Maple, Mexican Libertad, US Liberty, the South African Krugerrand, Queens Beasts series, Bermuda Trident and Great White Shark.
