SteemitBoard gamification is adorable
Ultimately, most people who use Steemit are here for the monetary rewards. Not the fame, not the recognition, but just financial returns. Which is totally fine by me, of course. Still, there has to be something else that could be used to motivate us more, whether it be intrinsically or externally.
This is why I'm really fond of @SteemitBoard, the one gamification bot that's in it for the glorification of our efforts :-)
Most of us I believe was exposed to this bot as early as our #introduceyourself post. I love the badge! The recent achievement badge I obtained was the award for the number of upvotes, which had reached 500 upvotes in total for all my blog posts.
Another achievement badge that I received recently was the Daily Author badge for posting a minimum 4 times a day, for the following posts:
- 3 kid-friendly recipes on Steemit
- Give Kpop a chance Part 1
- Give Kpop a chance Part 2
- Give Kpop a chance Part 3
At first I felt a little bummed that even after those 4 posts, Steemit Board didn't come to comment on any of my posts to inform me that I've been awarded it. I didn't think to check my achievements board until today.
I was so happy! Doing a blog post sprint is hard enough, and to do four quality posts in the same day, was totally a challenge. I'll say, though, that I absolutely enjoyed blogging about the topics -- Kpop and music can do no wrong in my book.
I've got my eyes on my next badges:
Plus, they have the most adorable special edition and seasonal awards I've ever seen.
I should have subscribed to @Steemitboard sooner so I won't miss another award opportunity.
Blogging on Steemit is so much fun!
