I saw a video on Vice channel where a guy learned how to shoot a sniper rifle at 1000 yards and hit the target every time. You use a tracking computer on the rifle, and in about 30 minutes, you can make a kill shot every time. Very scary to think that technology in the wrong hands would allow someone to reach out and touch you.

I think we will get a smart gun in a very different way. Tracking Point already has a system whereby you look through a scope and tag a target. You then see a dot on the target as it moves around. You then have a moment to review, make sure the target is what you want. The software will even recenter the dot on center mass of the target. When you pull the trigger the gun waits until you are lined up and then fires. This allows a 15 year old school girl with no training to out shoot a standard army sniper. What happens under the hood, is that the computer takes into account all the crazy factors snipers do. Wind, earth rotation, elevation, range, gun movement ect, does all the calculations and then wait until you are lined up for a hit. If this type of technology were adapted to the pistols, you could never miss again.

As long as there is an economic interest in such powerful companies behind the culture of arms it will be difficult to do anything to reduce or control them better, I am not a supporter of arms, sometimes I think that in the world there are more weapons than love.
