It was my first time in Hanoi. Normal people would totally be so excited to go try new food with new culture in the new country they visit. What did I do..? As a THAI person, I went to eat THAI hot pot when I was in Hanoi for the very first time LOLOL Well, it was such a great experience as I went with my new friends I met through Steemit! :D and yes, it was actually their idea of doing so.. haha.
The place we went called ‘Hot Pot Story’ offered many flavours of soup. We ordered Suki and Tomyam soup along with lots of meat and veggies. What a combination of Thai flavour soup, Korean side dishes, Vietnamese rolls and a plate of deep fried frog skin! All together it was good. Like a international asian meal. Went there with @hanggggbeeee @whynotdoit and a Korean oppa.
That’s pretty much the story of how we ended up going to the place..

I could just tell you off my head right now. Boil water put some meat (beef would be best) + mashed garlic + fish sauce + soy sauce + salt + sugar + lime juice + honey + chilli + pepper + lots of veggies + eggs. That's it! :D hahaha ❤️

Looks like you had a great time! My family does the same thing. They go to another country and they would look up Vietnamese restaurants to try. I sometimes asked, "Are we supposed to try new food when we're in a new place?" Their typical response, "We have plenty of time for that, right now I want Vietnamese food!" They always win of course!
