How Do Feelings Determine How You See Your Job?

in #life3 years ago

Do you always see your job as work or do you view it from an adventure and passion standpoint? Do you find that things are more satisfying when you have a challenge to gain from them? When we speak of how you see your work we are generally referring to our private thoughts and feelings about our current occupation. What we don't realize is that our thoughts and feelings to determine the path of most of our actions. If you are constantly miserable about your job and your unhappiness is pushing you to question whether you have what it takes to succeed at your job, then you will continue to do so until you accept that you simply do not have what it takes.

The way you perceive your work and its significance to you determines how you see your job. When we pursue a goal for which we have set specific goals, we often feel pressure to succeed because our success is directly linked to the amount of work we put in. Achieving a high standard of success in any job is often the result of having invested a great deal of energy, time and sometimes money into developing the skills, attitudes, habits and talents needed to do so. If these investments in personal development do not pay off, then the lack of results in our professional lives often becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

In our American culture the concept of work has become closely tied to the way we see ourselves. One of the main factors that contributes to this is the way that we evaluate our personal worth. If we assess our skills and accomplishments objectively, without sentiment, then our work performance is likely to reflect this evaluation. Evaluating your job performance negatively, on the other hand, can lead to a low self-esteem and a low sense of worth, which will inevitably affect your performance at work.

One of the biggest factors in determining our feelings about a job is, how much we enjoy working on it. Most of us like what we do and enjoy what we do because of the challenge, the thrill and the fun associated with it. When we are working on a job, we may be facing certain obstacles that are difficult to overcome, but we need to persevere. The success of a job, therefore, has a lot to do with how we feel about the job and about our ability to succeed. If we don't like the work that we do or don't like our boss and/or the assignment, then we won't be motivated to complete it. The result can be lower than expected job satisfaction.

Another important factor that impacts job satisfaction results is our level of communication with our boss and/or the company. A good boss and a good company are really two different things. A good boss encourages communication with employees and ensures that they feel involved in the success of the company. At the same time, he ensures that everyone knows what their role is and that communication lines are open.

A job that involves a lot of talking and socializing is likely to lead to happiness. If you talk to your co-workers all day long, you'll get to know them better, you'll find out about their lives, interests, hopes and fears and you'll begin to understand them better. This makes you part of their family. You begin to feel part of something bigger than yourself and this creates a happiness that is greater than your private feeling of self-worth.

When you are happy at your job, you are more likely to be happy in general. This means that you are more likely to achieve your goals and to enjoy life. Having a job that makes you feel this way is very empowering. It is not enough to just have a job that pays you. You must also have the right skills and qualities that make you a better person in general.

If you don't like your job, take some time to assess why it is that you don't like it as much as you should. What parts of it do you wish you had more of? Are there aspects of the job that bother you or that you would like to improve? These are things that you can resolve immediately and they will make you a happier employee and a better person overall.
