Being Happy For Someone Else's Success

in #motivation5 years ago

When we ask people what is happiness we hear a variety of answers. Some say that to be happy is to be content in your own situation. However I think the answer should be different. Being happy for someone else's success may mean being happy for them. When you ask someone who is succeeding to be happy for them, it sounds as if they are not doing as well as they could or would not do as well as if they were happy.

If we are to find happiness in someone elses success we must ask them why they are doing what they are doing. We must ask ourselves if we could do the same thing or better. The difference between the two answers is the energy. The difference between someone else's success and us is the energy that is generated from the desire to excel.

People who want to excel are always trying to find more information on the topic. They read books, articles, attend seminars, take classes and watch videos. The more they learn the more excited they become. They have all types of reasons to do this. The question is, can we duplicate this energy.

The answer is a resounding YES! We are all gifted with the ability to duplicate ourselves, the power of creation. The more we create the happier we will be. Wealth creation for me does not include money, nor does it include material possessions, it simply means creating wealth.

Wealth creation for most of us doesn't mean we have to be super-intelligent, or be born rich. We don't have to be the best. What we do have to have is a desire. We must be passionate about our dreams. We must want to excel. Then we can succeed.

When you ask the question, how can we duplicate someone else's happiness, you are asking questions that are important. Happiness doesn't just come when we turn in our lives, or when we achieve something. It's how we feel in the moment, what we dream about, what we are passionate about, and how we make the most of opportunities that come our way. If you feel happy when you are doing something you love, then you will pursue that goal.

For most of us the most challenging thing about this question, is figuring out how to harness the positive things about each activity we participate in. The key here is to find something that you love and focus on that. Find activities that challenge you and get you moving. When you are getting your tires running and are falling down, remind yourself of why you love what you are doing.

When I ask the question "How can we duplicate someone else's happiness" I am really saying "how can I keep myself going when times get tough?" We all have a good friend, family member or co-worker that makes us laugh, or make us cry. Pay attention to them, and find something about their behavior that gets you excited. Talk to them about it, and show them that you care. When you can find a quality that you can duplicate, you will find that the hard times will soon be history.

I remember growing up, my parents used to always say "if you want something done right, do it yourself". They would get into an argument if I didn't do it myself. I decided to take charge, and pursue my own dreams. I am so glad I did. You should be able to use this concept for anything that you desire. We all need to feel good about ourselves in order to enjoy life.

Another area to consider is that we all have unfinished business. I am not saying that someone elses work is no good, but you have to do your part. If you can make a difference in someone else's life, you will also make a difference in your own life. Make sure that you are on the same page, and are working together.

In conclusion remember that happiness is finding a way to be happy. When you look at things from a different perspective you will see more. People will tell you that you can't do it. But the truth is, we all have the power to change our thoughts and make our lives richer. If we are willing to make a difference in our lives every day, it only gets easier to be successful.
