If You Were Given $5000 To Invest In One Crypto, But Couldn't Sell For 10 Years, Which Would You Choose?
Swing For The Fences, Or Go With What You Know?
I was asked this very question earlier today and was surprised at how much thought I put into answering it.
Of course I am a Steem maximalist, and I'll invest more than 5k and most likely wait longer than 10 years before powering down, but I still hesitated to answer Steem!
Although our growth over the last few years has had instances of extreme glory with Stemmonsters demonstrating how you build a successful business on the Steem blockchain; we've also has periods of disappointment with the Dstors debacle is a recent example of how far we still need to go.
I still love Steem, but the fact that it wasn't my answer made me realize that I might wan't to reconsider my portfolio distribution.
Everyone Should Have At Least 1 Bitcoin!
Like many of you, I'm sure you came to the same conclusion that in the crypto world of uncertainty, Bitcoin might be our best bet come 2029.
I'm embarrassed to say that although I've been involved in this space since 2013, I don't own a single Bitcoin.
I'm starting to feel the urge to buy one up with the money I was going to use on my 20k Steem crusade, but the long term passive wealth that Steem could bring is honestly too hard to pass down.
And no, I'm not goin to buy half BTC and half Steem because I would honestly drive myself crazy thinking how close I am to a full bitcoin or 20k steem.
My best bet would to average into to one or the other and see how the market moves over the next few months. If BTC drops below 3k I'll probably be able to achieve both goal in one goal because Steem normally follows the leader!
Enough about me, which crypto would you choose in this instance?
I would take the same approach of bitcoin and Steem for 10 years... I haven’t bought much BTC since the drop in price but have begun to consider it again as it seems enticing.
