Eye of a Needle

"I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God." I didn't say that, the Lord Jesus did.

I spent some time thinking about this quote. I heard a few sermons describing the opinions of preachers who decipher this statement. I deduced that this may be true because a rich man may never feel a need to seek God's path, and would hold to this earth's goods which they command.

Once we die, we all become equal in the eyes of God. I have seen poor people who are very content and read about rich people daily who take their lives because riches never bought happiness.

I would rather remain poor than lose out on the chance to know and trust my God. I have been poor, and in want for cloths and a home. I have those things now, but I will never forget that He provided for me when I and my sons had nothing.

So, it truly is not inconceivable that it is harder for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God than a camel to fit in the eye of a needle.
