Poem: I Could Not
Rushing river of thoughts form no words
They flow pathless to the ocean's end
I fear thunder and lightning may strike my speech
And there's no taking back words I spill
As if a mountain has blocked my way
I yearn for the other side but the ascent is too high
For I see the heavens and the skies
And I'm willing to fly
Over and above the torturous earth
I have anxiety too and I know how bad is when you have plans about what to post on your blog and then you get distracted by different thoughts. But is a great poetry :)
Hi @gabrielatravels, thanks for reading my poem. And I appreciate you sharing your side and we can relate to each other. It is difficult even if you tell your mind to stop worrying, it does more of it. I hope we somehow find a solution to it and it should come from within us.
Yeah. Even though we know that the problem starts from our way of thinking, it's impossible to control it. I think it's about the way we are. The way we feel. And it's impossible to try to become someone else ..
You're very right! You've articulated the experience so well
his poem is very beautiful @wanderlass, it turns out besides your traveling hobby also like to write poetry huh? it's an interesting post and beautiful word selection.
Thanks @ami92 I'm glad you like it. This is actually my first poem (that's not a haiku) after a looong time. I just want to express what I feel and it's a good way to release the thoughts I have. You can try it too, it feels good to express yourself. You can make a poem about food too :)
hahaha, but I do not know where to start, maybe there is an idea from you? may share for me LOL ..
Sure. I'll let you know when I come up with an idea :) Or just send me a DM at discord if you have one and I can help you work through it. I'm not an expert though :)
very beautiful.........
Thanks @briancourteau! Getting this comment from someone who always makes lovely poems for @lynncoyle1 is flattering :)
