Floating with Goodness at Lantaw

On a weekend, we visited a restaurant named Lantaw. Lantaw in Visayan may mean to overlook or a good spot to have a scenic view. So for this restaurant, it kept up with its name. Lantaw has branches either on top of a hill or by the sea. I was able to visit along the shore of Cordova, Cebu, that is known for its seafoods.
My family and I had lunch on one of their cottages. This gave privacy than dining on their main restaurant. We ordered Baked Scallops, Signulaw, Crispy Pata, Sisig and of course, along with steaming hot rice.
Sinuglaw is a combination of the word sinugba , means grilled and kilaw, means raw. This dish is made of raw fish cuts soaked in vinegar with tomato, onion, lime and chilis then added with grilled pork. The fusion of the sourness of the kinilaw and salty-bitter taste of the grilled pork made this dish have its distinct taste.
Crispy Pata or crispy pork leg is heaven for someone who loves to pork and crunchy food. It's best served with soy sauce-vinegar dip.
Sisig is made of pork's head and chicken liver. It's taste is a bit sour and sweet because of kalamansi. It is stir fried in onion and chili. It's sometimes garnished with chicharon or fried pork skin crumbs.
Overall, Lantaw is best for family gatherings or reunions. It has a lot of food variety and spacious enough to bring in more guests.
