GREETINGS and words used often..

Every day, every one around the world uses this word. It is used at home, work place, farm, church or any business gathering.

This word is known as HELLO
Hello is a greeting when you meet somebody, when you answer the telephone or when you want to attract somebody's attention:

Hello is the most usual and common word. Every one including children, old, learnt and unlearnt uses it.

Some people use another word Hi
Hi is used also alot and its more informal.

For example, using the two words hello and hi would be like;

'Hello, Bishop. 'ohh hi, Sharon! How are you doing?'

Also we often use- Good morning

This is usually used by family members or people who stay or work together when they see each other for the first time in the day.

It can be used in formal speeches where you just say Morning.

Also we use Good afternoon and Good evening These are used especially after mid-day and before sleep.

Then lastly, Good night
This is not used to greet someone, but used only to say goodbye late in the evening or when going to bed.

If you meet someone for the first time, you can say Pleased to meet you or Nice to meet you

Some people use **How do you do? The best way to reply is How do you do?
