2 pilots dead after failed rooftop extract (Invasion of Iraq 2003)
After multiple maneuvers to correct the landing on the roof, Air force pilot David Gorgel hits the rudder blade on the edge of the building, sending the helicopter flying out of control and into a nearby factory, instantly killing him and his co pilot Arron Herendez. Women and children were hiding in the basement of the factory the helicopter crashed on, but were safe from the impact.
