Humility Brings Happiness
What comes to our imagination when it comes to the names of beggars, homeless people, buskers, unscrupulous people, poor people, etc.? And what will we do soon when those people are present in front of us? Of course our attitudes vary. But most of us, tend to be at a distance, to assume that this person is not worthy of being approached, to be addressed as even possible to be loved. We tend to make different treatments and close ourselves to the presence of such people.
In my view, the attitude of accepting others for what they are, respecting and appreciating others, and being open to each other's presence, is a manifestation of humility. The humble man reassures the hearts of many and builds deeper trust.
We must know these words, "Whoso humbles himself shall be exalted, and he who exalts himself shall be humbled."
Indeed, past experiences that hurt, mistakes in a discipline, can make people then be "forced" arrogant. Being "forced" because I do not think anyone born in this world is made into a proud person. Every effect is always there. The experience of the wounds of the past makes some people must struggle to gain humility.
Far more than that, the less humble person will easily hurt himself with his own words and actions. Wearing masks of falsehood for the sake of self-esteem. Saying "can" when not "can", saying "rich" when "poor".
Pride can be born from a deficiency that is not acceptable, but if not prevented, not healing, but instead exacerbate our sense of confidence.
Being humble is also a way to glorify God's greatness.
I agree and disagree! Extreme pride may be bad, but humiliation? Self-respect is a must!!!
