500 Followers - Thank You Everyone!
500 followers in 37 days of active steeming, WOW! Thank you to everyone who has followed this account. The last month and a week has been a lot of work and learning, but at the same time, very rewarding.
A message to all you new fish out there, it's not just bluster when you read that hard work and consistency will pay off. I for one am seeing the fruits of my labors begin to pay off. Take your time when you start on this platform. Make an effort to read all of the how-to's that others have made. Interact with people like you would on any other social media network, be yourself. Be polite, consistent and make a real effort to create quality content! Don't run around asking everyone for a F4F, it is the quickest way to guarantee zero followers.
A special thanks for some of the early adopters that I learned a great deal from, namely @aggroed and his @minnowsupport project and @papa-pepper for his 18 part video series on how-to steemit. Without them I would still be languishing. Also thanks to the great work that @sflaherty is doing with his steemitbc.slack.com site.
Once again thank you all for your support and I look forward to putting out the best content I can create, going forward!

F4F may give you a lot of followers, but will also flood your feeds. You'll be missing out on the more interesting posts or at least the ones that you are really interested in. That's what I realized, I was missing out on engagement opportunities. So sadly I had to unfollow some accounts... while I keep adding new ones to follow who I think are interesting.

It seems to me that blogging needs to be a kind of system. I would like to understand it. To understand what interesting I would be interested in others. In particular my followers. Thank You so much for giving direction to my thoughts, @cryptokash=)))
I'm not a professional blogger and I've been getting some tips here and there either through posts or direct message from new connections. It would be great if there's just one magic formula on how to succeed. But there surely are the minimum -- commenting, posting, upvoting and resteeming. Knowing how often, who to follow, what to post about, is what I think makes the big difference.
