You need to invest to be rewarded
In bed, eyes closed I have time to think. Think about how I started joining contests hosted by the community CCC. How much time I invested in writing and reading and commenting. While most members stuck to posting only I published and read them.
Yes, I was popular as a host,commenter and up oter and so were my contests. But no matter how hard I tried I was rarely rewarded with a comment, some friendship.
Still, CCC was good place to become closer to a few members. Members who not totally gave up on the community and saw it as a sugar daddy only. Members who saw the value of the Circle something this community stands for. They are the people who do not go for greed but Creed, they shared.
I know hardly anyone clicks the links left in a post. The reason why they believe CCC stands for a coin. The comment coin. We, the community used it for a reward but it no longer exists on this platform. By now this coin lost its value as I noticed a few days ago.
With our without comment coin, extra rewards like SBI a circle can grow and stay strong too.
Especially during crisesses. It's good to have a place to turn to, it's good to share your day, it helps to notice someone left you a comment, invested time in you and showed appreciation with an upvote matter how small it is.
You reader might think it's Utopia what I am talking about but it's not. Many of those big dolphins and whales here are that fat because they are feed by little fish. Many little fish helped them grow and once big you give a good vote to help that little fish. It happened here, it happens here and you can be part of it. You can grow if you are motivated, proof you are part of the circle and not only take the big(er) ones for granted. They worked hard to achieve something, month after month, year after year! Visit their accounts and see how much they posted.
CCC is a great community and it can only get better with you.

Many take but not give. I think it will be a never-ending challenge? But it is always nice to see a few who cares, that itself is an achievement in itself. We can only keep trying, like the saying goes, we can lead the horse/cow to the water but we can't make them drink. Only they can drink if they choose to.
I agree we can lead the horse/cow but if you let it pull the car alone (like we say in Dutch) don't blame it if it colaps, kicks or runs out with the work of whole day.
