Meet Lucy

"That's our motto, and if you can't abide by it, then you are not the type of person that fits in this group."
No one responded as Lucy had spoken her final words.
She was a drama queen not liked for a good reason. They all quit asking her how she was doing. She sucked all happiness and energy out of you. A vampire would envy her.
Lucy looked from one to another. She hoped for a response but even the new ones were not willing to give her the attention she clearly asked for. It kept silent.
"I hate it if they accuse me of not abiding their motto. I mean, be honest I am the only person who always joins in, the one who gives a helping hand where needed, follows the rules and never ask for attention."
Was my head banging?
"Lucy, why are you here? Why are you joining this therapy group?
"Prepare before you see them. They could be dangerous.", Jim said and he rolled his eyes upwards, only his white eyeballs were shown as he groaned as if someone kicked him into the stomach for at least 30 minutes.
Lucy looked at Jim and wanted to respond as I interfered.
"Ignore him, ignore the rest and answer my question."
"I am here, well you know why", she cried. "I always feel depressed, I can hardly eat and since I left I feel lost."
"You left 15 years ago. It happened 30 years ago. You are promiscuous and above all fake. You are not a victim but the perpetrator. The author of your own miserable life and you love it. Stand up and follow me."
I took her to a small room.
There was a mirror and I placed her in front of her.
"Meet Lucy, the Lucy the world sees and dislikes. Spend some time with her and ask her all the questions you have. You can pull faces at her, scold at her, laugh and cry together. This is the person who is and always be there for you.
You better get befriended with her now, at this very moment.
You could start by saying out loud that motto. It is a great mantra.
I left her to have a closer look at the person she created and also hated. The burn hurt but not as much as meeting herself in real person.
