How serious is this?
One school informed us what to do in case of the coronavirus epidemic will reach us and kill us all. The other school kept silent.

It's Italy who soon will be banned.
Although the school didn't warn or seem to see the threat teachers do.
Yesterday the teacher of my youngest said we better do not buy products at the supermarket made in Italy.
Today my kid told me a teacher told them to start buying canned food now before the shops run out of it.
Are they expecting a war (on the internet you can read the third world war started in 2015) or will food from certain countries be banned?
The supermarket has its "Italian" week.
In most cases this means "food from/eaten in Italy is promoted. It's a bit fake since most of the products are made in Germany or the Netherlands.
We ate spaghetti today.
I had spaghetti, the tomato sauce I made from fresh tomatoes in 2015 and I bought the minced meat, onion and mozzarella(made in Germany).

I don't understand all the hype about Corona Virus when the seasonal flu kills half a million people each year worldwide and we don't get all het up about that.

It's completely safe.... The virus isn't able to be alive too much time without a host. You can buy from Aliexpress and Alibaba if you like, with the guys packaging your items infected and you'll be completely safe... Unless you buy something alive....
