Soap and water is all one need to be clean and clean up
besides sand and soda, my grandmother would add to it

Compared to those I know, I don't use much when it comes to items I need for my hygiene.

A bar of soap is sufficient and I even wash my hair with it. I make detergent from the leftover hand soap.

I have cream that I use for face, hands and body if necessary. It varies how long such a pot lasts, but at least 1 month.

Vaseline is also present. This is often used during winter days because cream freezes, although it does not always help against chapped lips, hands and feet.
I also use Vaseline to lubricate the rubbers of the car doors so that they do not freeze, the rails of the gate, as an anti-hairball paste for the cats and much more. The large jar is a drugstore's own brand and cheaper than the well-known brand.

I wash my hair on average once a week. If I don't use soap I use baby shampoo and sometimes nothing.
I think hair looks healthier than with all the junk in it, baby shampoo and just water is more neutral. My experience is that my hair rarely looks better with expensive hair care products including those from the hairdresser.
I use a wide-toothed comb so as not to damage my hair (I've had this for at least 20 years) and a plastic brush. I can clean both in hot water with washing soda.

My daily routine is never the same. I often start writing as soon as I wake up, so I usually write in bed. When the story is finished, I get up and it is time to wash, brush my teeth and get dressed. I wash with cold water and soap, not because I like that, but because there is not standard warm water.

I wash my hands frequently throughout the day. Standard when I come from outside, have touched an animal, before I cook, during cooking, after using the toilet, you name it. I don't always apply ointment to my hands because this is often not practical.

I use day cream from the Lidl supermarket, but not daily, because, according to research into daycreams, this is the most effective and does not cost a fortune. I'm definitely not going to pay 90 euros for a jar of ointment because it has a brand on it. A jar of day cream like this will last me 3 months? I also gently apply it to the tops of my hands or arms. I don't think that ointment can tell the difference.

Before going to bed I wash and brush my teeth and put on nightwear. Bed linen is washed more often than sheets, so it is a lot more hygenic.

I have clothes for outside and inside, a coat for the animals and 1 for going out. Here I wear water boots or clogs outside. Socks or slippers at home.

I doubt whether being super clean is an advantage. It is important to build up resistance, something the immune system cannot do if you only live in a disinfected environment. I experienced this from my youth. Unlike then, I am never sick anymore and the flu always passes me by. I don't take any medications as I wrote, so I can conclude that I live healthy enough to function well.

Vaseline is the basis in many creams and other products if you know you can make it yourself instead of buying exoensive products with each having their iwn plastic flacon. It also helps for cerrain hairtyles, dry hair.

Cold water is for sure not what I like but it's all there is and better than not washing at all. They say it's healthy for the body, I m not so sure about that but the anchestors could do it so I can too (it's what I tell myself 😉)

I agree without personal hygiene we no longer care about ourselves, our health.

Your minimal strategy to health is both functional and also clever! Making use of a bar of soap for cleaning and also making cleaning agent from remaining hand soap displays your brilliant plus eco-conscious mindset. It's excellent exactly how you make use of Oil jelly for different functions past skin care from stopping cold to working as an anti-hairball paste for felines. Your choice for simpleness in hair treatment picking child hair shampoo or simply water highlights a concentrate on all-natural options. Your long-lasting use a wide-toothed comb plus plastic brush shows sturdiness and also sustainability. Your regular personifies just how efficient as well as functional standard health items can be. Thanks for sharing your informative article in steemit! 🌿 🚿

Personal hygiene is not about cremes, makeup and so on that's more about feeling better and a bit of extra luxury.
I once heard a lady say: I can't wash my hair, be clean because I am poor and can't buy shampoo. To me this is an excuse. That lady would always look dirty even if she had money. More and more people no longer care about personal hygiene. It shows on the streets, public transport, in shops and it can be smelled.

Where I live nearly everyone has access to water. With cold water you can wash yourself and a piece of soap doesn't need to be expensive either. Personal hygiene is also about how you see yourself.

It's unfortunate to pay attention about human beings neglecting personal hygiene, mainly whilst basic hygiene practices are handy to many. You're absolutely proper that personal hygiene isn't entirely about steeply-priced products—it's approximately feeling better and preserving self-recognize. Simple practices like the use of soap and water can go a long manner in making sure cleanliness and properly-being. Let's keep to prioritize personal hygiene for the advantage of ourselves and our communities.

Well said. Let's go for that and hope people will take better care of themselves. If I read the entries the Steemians are clean people and do care about themselves.

All the best to you.

Compared to those I know, I don't use much when it comes to items I need for my hygiene.

You know, when I look around at what others use for their hygiene routines, I sometimes feel like I'm keeping it pretty basic. I mean, sure, there are all these fancy products out there, but I've found that sticking to the essentials works just fine for me. It's like, why complicate things when simplicity does the job?

I doubt whether being super clean is an advantage. It is important to build up resistance, something the immune system cannot do if you only live in a disinfected environment.

This really got me thinking about the whole cleanliness debate. I mean, yeah, it's essential to stay clean and all, but maybe we're going a bit overboard with it sometimes. I remember growing up, playing outside, getting dirty, and hardly ever getting sick. It's like my body built up this natural defense by being exposed to everyday germs. So, maybe a little dirt here and there isn't such a bad thing after all, you know? Keeps our immune system on its toes.

Stay blessed.

I totally agree with you. We played outside, had a bite of sand and didn't care about dead bugs or where the cat just pooped. We ate left overs once a week and there wasn't a fridge.

In a way I still believe back than the average household was cleaner. Clean sheets at least once a week, ironing clothes including underwear, the laundry was washed in a higher temperature with a piece of soap and dried in the sun.
Tiday 1001 sprays are sold to 'fight' odours, dirt and so on but it's just in our mind it works plus we live in a poisoned environment. Next to that we consume pills and trust in jabss if immune system no longer exists.

Perhaps by now it no longer does?

Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

Apreciada @wakeupkitty, has realizado un post muy interesante sobre el aseo personal. Comparto tu idea de que la limpieza exagerada deriva en un organismo débil, que no genera respuestas para defenderse de bacterias, y eso no es nada bueno.

Me encantó leerte. Saludos.

Like always thank you for reading and commenting dear friend. I hopp by later, time to start the day.
